Duncan Penny and Alex Chalk appear in corporate manslaughter arising out of water-ski tragedy
Duncan Penny and Alex Chalk appeared in the successful prosecution of the Prince’s Sporting Club (Bedfont, West London) for corporate manslaughter following the death of Mari-Simon Cronje, 11, who was hit by the boat towing an inflatable ride. The Court heard that there were several health and safety failings. Following the company’s admission of guilt, it was fined “every penny” it had in the sum of £135,000.
