High Court considers the definition of the River Thames
On 21 March 2017 the High Court handed down judgment in Environment Agency v. Barrass and others, a case concerning the definition of the River Thames. In particular, the Court considered whether certain private marinas formed part of the river and whether vessels kept on the marinas were subject to regulation by the Environment Agency. David Perry QC and Richard Evans appeared for the Environment Agency.
