Convictions for gang guilty of smuggling gun arsenal
The five men who played a part in the UK’s largest known gun smuggling operation were sentenced on Friday. The weapons – which originated from the same source as those used in the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris and had a value of £100,000 – were brought into the UK by boat. The men were sentenced to periods of up to 35 years. Duncan Atkinson QC and Peter Ratliff were instructed for the Crown.
