Alex Chalk and William Hays in case concerning sectarian violence in London
Alex Chalk and William Hays are instructed in the trial of five Sunni Muslim men accused of attacking a group of Shi’ite Muslims. On 10 May 2013, Jordan Horner attacked a man after calling him a “non-believer”. Mohammed Almagir, Mirza Ali, Mohad Uddin and Kamran Khan also joined in. Following a trial at the Old Bailey, Horner, Almagir, Ali and Uddin were convicted of violent disorder and Khan was convicted of affray.
